New Director of Alumni Affairs

I feel privileged to be joining Strayer University as Director of Alumni Affairs. Over the past couple of months, I have been warmly welcomed into the Strayer community and have had the opportunity to speak with numerous Strayer staff and Alumni Advisory Council members about their goals and initiatives. I have been impressed by their friendliness, creativity and commitment to Strayer alumni.

Having graduated with my MBA, I understand the importance of remaining connected to my alma mater. By staying informed of institutional changes at my university, and by keeping in touch with the wonderful people that I developed personal and professional relationships with—staff members, faculty and classmates—I will benefit from formal learning opportunities at my school, as well as informal networking opportunities.

Similarly, at Strayer, opportunities for us to learn from, and support one another with our diverse set of experiences abound, even after walking across the stage at commencement. In my role as Director of Alumni Affairs, I intend to strengthen these social, community and professional development opportunities, and help each alumnus continue the process of lifelong learning.

However, in order to do so successfully, I need to hear from you. The Alumni Advisory Council recognizes the importance of getting feedback from the population that it represents. As a result, we have created a survey to help us better understand your interests. Please take a moment to complete the survey and help us create opportunities that best serve you.

If you have not already done so, I also urge you to activate your membership or update your information in the Alumni Directory. In order for all of us to benefit from one another’s unique knowledge, whether it be about our careers, sports, music or other interests, we need to contribute to a community in which ideas, feedback, information and opportunities are shared. The directory helps us build and expand this community.

Finally, I would love to hear from you directly. Please feel free to send me an e-mail or give me a call to tell me about yourself, your passions, your career or simply to say hello. I look forward to working with you!

Sincerely yours,

Rachel Roth

Director of Alumni Affairs
